Properties of a Tangent to a Circle

1. Length of the Tangent
   From a point outside a circle , two tangents can be drawn to the circle. The distances from point to the points of tangency and are called the lengths of the tangents from to the circle .

   The lengths of the two tangents drawn from a point outside a circle are equal.
